Easter opening times

We will be open as usual on Saturday (April 15) but will be closed on Good Friday (April 14) and Bank Holiday Monday (April 17).

Our Saturday session will ensure you get a good workout before any chocolate treats on Easter Sunday!

Gradings announced

The dates of our next gradings have been confirmed. Adult gradings, all levels, will take place on Wednesday, 22 February from 8pm. For Juniors, gradings (all levels) will take place at 9.45am on Saturday, February 25.

If you have any questions, please see Kru Sai.

Revised timetable for December

Studio 2000 is preparing for an extremely exciting next few weeks and this will mean some temporary changes to our timetable.

Due to our next Muay Thai show at the iPro Stadium on Sunday, December 4, there will be no Open Gym on Saturday, December 3 as the weigh-ins will be taking place then.

Throughout December, we will also be running a revised class timetable due to work on our new gym (opening soon!)

This means there will be no daytime classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, our Wednesday and Friday sparring classes will instead be advanced classes.

The gym will also be closing on December 17 for the festive period. This is slightly earlier than we would usually close for Christmas but it is so we can get the new gym ready for you all to kick start your 2017 in the best possible way!

Any questions, just speak to Sai.

December gradings dates confirmed

The next dates for adult and junior gradings have been set. Adults taking grades 1 to 3 will be able to do so on Friday, December 2 at 8pm. The junior gradings will take place on Saturday, December 3 at 9.45am.

Please remember to make sure your licence is up to date and ask the instructors if you have any questions.

Junior and adult grading dates

Grading sessions for juniors and adult members will be held during September and October.

On Saturday, September 24, junior members will be able to sit Grades between 1 and 4 from 9.30am. Adult members will get the opportunity to take Grades 1 to 4 on Wednesday, September 28 at 8pm.

For those adults who have already achieved their Grade 4 or above, there will be an Advanced Grading Seminar on Saturday, October 15 from 12noon. It will be essential for all fighters to attend this session.

As always, gradings offer the ideal opportunity to evaluate your progress through the Muay Thai syllabus at Studio 2000, identify strengths and highlight areas for improvement.

If you have any questions about grading, please speak to Sai or one of the instructors.

Junior and adult grading dates announced

We have some important grading dates coming up for both junior and adult members.

Adults will be able to take their next grading exams on Wednesday, June 29 from 8pm.

The next junior date is Saturday, July 2 from 10am for grades 1 to 4 and from 12noon on the same day for those taking their grade 5 and upwards – including those taking their junior instructorship. This means there will be no open class on that day.

If you have any questions about your grading please ask Sai or one of the instructors and good luck to all those taking this step in their Muay Thai training.

Next grading date announced

If you want to push your Muay Thai skills to the next level then there is an opportunity next Wednesday.

Adults will be able to take their next grading at 8pm on Wednesday, April 27.

Gradings are a chance to demonstrate what you’ve learnt so far and progress through the syllabus and the class structure.

For more details please see Sai.

Fight night at the iPro

April 16 was Studio 2000’s best Championship Thai Boxing Show yet! Thank you to all those who came to support our fighters and witness such amazing performances from all of them.

Studio 2000 can now boast three additional titles – two British and one Midland Area! Well done to Casey Braddock, Ross Singyard and Alan Whitton. Ross and Casey both retained their unbeaten records and stopped their opponents. In fact 90% of our fighters won by TKO! If you want to see the skill and devastating techniques Muay Thai is famous for then you can watch Ross’s WRSA British Title fight against a brilliant opponent – Mat Reading from Chok Dee Academy – here.

On that note, the shows could not happen without all the brilliant gyms and fighters who take part so a special thank you to all.

Please share your comments on the show here and we’d also love to see your photos from the night so feel free to share via Facebook and Twitter – follow the icons on this site to connect.

More photos and videos from the night will be coming so keep checking our Facebook pages.

Easter Opening

Happy Easter guys and girls!

We’ll be closed on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday but we will be open on Saturday as usual so you can get in some training ahead of the Easter Sunday chocolate eating! (Unless you’re one of our fighters in which case I’m sure your Easter eggs will be saved for after April 16!)

Test yourself in February

Well done to all our students on starting 2016 in such a positive way and showing great commitment to your training.

To give you the opportunity to assess just how far you’ve come, we will be holding gradings for all levels in February. Adults will be able to grade on Monday, February 8 at 8pm and junior gradings will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 10am.

Please make sure you bring your licence and fee with you on the day. Any questions, please ask Sai or one of the instructors.
